Message from the 10th President of the Taiwan Society of Clinical Neurophysiology
Thanks to the unwavering efforts of our past presidents, the Taiwan Society of Clinical Neurophysiology (TSCN) has established a strong foundation. It has grown into a vital platform for clinical and research exchange within Taiwan, while also representing the voice and strength of Taiwanese scholars on the international stage. As we inherit this honor and responsibility, the 10th Board will carry forward the Society’s mission with a focus on continuity and innovation, clinical integration, and translational advancement, opening a new chapter for the TSCN.
At the heart of neurophysiology lies a deep understanding of the body’s most intricate functions. From the fundamentals of anatomy and physiology to the integration of advanced tools—such as NCV, EEG, TMS, FUS, artificial intelligence, image, and real-time neuro-monitoring—our field allows us to decode patients’ neurological signals with greater precision and transform them into actionable diagnostic and therapeutic strategies. This term, we aim to emphasize the effective translation of knowledge into clinical practice, where data is not the endpoint, but the beginning of meaningful application and real-world impact.
The true value of translational medicine lies in bridging the gap between laboratory discovery and bedside care. Whether in epilepsy, peripheral neuropathy, movement disorders, or dementia, we envision advancing clinical research, fostering interdisciplinary collaboration, and empowering young physicians through training and active participation—so that the fruits of neurophysiological research may truly benefit patients in need.
In 2025, Taiwan will proudly host the Asian and Oceanian Congress of Clinical Neurophysiology (AOCCN). This milestone, spanning four terms of the Board in its planning and preparation, is a rare and precious opportunity to showcase Taiwan to the world and connect our young scholars with the global community. The 10th Board is fully committed to delivering a high-caliber conference that leaves a lasting impression of Taiwan’s excellence in clinical neurophysiology and sparks new waves of academic collaboration and knowledge exchange across the Asia-Pacific region.
At the heart of our Society is more than a transmission of technical skills—it is the continuation of a shared mission. We firmly believe that by grounding ourselves in fundamental knowledge, making new technologies clinically accessible, encouraging youth engagement, and focusing on patient-centered care, this field will continue to advance and thrive.
We warmly invite all those passionate about clinical neuroscience and neurological patient care to join us—to learn, to lead change, and to contribute.
Let us begin from the fundamentals, advance toward clinical excellence, and make our voice heard across the world.
President, 10th Board
Taiwan Society of Clinical Neurophysiology
